As part of a reread I am participating in, Nalinin Singh is an author on my ‘always’ list ! And her Psy-Changeling series is always a favorite, so today we’ve got the first in this paranormal blend of adventure, romance, psychics and more with my review for…
Slave to Sensation
Slave to Sensation is amazing start for a paranormal series. For the lovers of the kind, you will find new elements that do not exist in other similar series, and for those that have not read paranormal before, your expectations will be high from then on for other authors of this genre.
Nalini’s writing style is unique, as she builds a new world from scratch, without leaving gaps in her descriptions or questions. A complete story, with descriptions, emotions, lack of emotions (read it and you’ll see where I’m going with it), adventure, heartbreak and touch.
It actually makes you crave as you think of ways to try to apply what you’ve read in real life.
Yeah… not possible, but it is life changing i and makes you think harder than any other paranormal novel, I have ever read before!
until that moment, he’d considered them nothing but unfeeling machines. Then she looked
up to meet his gaze and the panther in him opened its mouth in a wordless growl.

Nalini Singh dives into a world torn apart by a powerful race with phenomenal powers of the mind-and none of the heart.
In a world that denies emotions, where the ruling Psy punish any sign of desire, Sascha Duncan must conceal the feelings that brand her as flawed. To reveal them would be to sentence herself to the horror of "rehabilitation" - the complete psychic erasure of everything she ever was...
Both human and animal, Lucas Hunter is a changeling hungry for the very sensations the Psy disdain. After centuries of uneasy coexistence, these two races are now on the verge of war over the brutal murders of several changeling women. Lucas is determined to find the Psy killer who butchered his packmate, and Sascha is his ticket into their closely guarded society. But he soon discovers that this ice-cold Psy is very capable of passion - and that the animal in him is fascinated by her. Caught between their conflicting worlds, Lucas and Sascha must remain bound to their identities - or sacrifice everything for a taste of darkest temptation.
