Book Review:
I am a fan of this author’s writing: her emotionally complex and compelling characters are detailed to draw readers into the story and understand (if not agree) with the character’s motivations. Lisa Renee Jones captures voice and point of view that puts you in the moment and you can’t help but be dragged forward in the world she creates.
Introducing readers to Danielle (Danny) is a young woman in stasis: biding her time, working as she waits for the ‘next best thing’. A birthday party for her best friend, and she meets Jensen. Uber hot and super sexy, Danny takes a chance on a one night stand with him.
Oh so hot – knee shaking moments leave Danny changed, but she is determined to ignore it. Until she comes face to face with Jensen, and realizes that she will be working with him.
The push-pull and attraction are undeniable, and these two are starting a path to a relationship full of twists and turns. This quick introduction to the Shattered Promises series will have readers anxiously awaiting more.
