Much Ado About Highlanders
Alexander MacPherson is married to Kenna McKay, a marriage meant to secure the MacPherson clan’s position and hold on power in the north. What he didn’t expect was his bride to take off on their wedding night, and never to be heard from again.
Kenna is a healer, a bit wild and rough, and fiercely clinging to her own independence. She’s not thrilled with the constraints of marriage nor interested in being ‘told’ how to live her life. So, she ran. Of course, she shouldn’t think she’s off without concerns, a realization that comes to her clear as crystal when Alexander’s men capture and ‘kidnap’ she and her cousin as they were returning from a birth.
Alexander is a very typical highlander: brave, determined, loyal, but McGoldrick added humor and heart to this man, and made him irresistible. He is the alpha with a quick temper, easily able to fend off the jibes and jabs from his wife, and slowly she starts to see just how far he is willing to go FOR her. With a backstory of a relic broken into pieces and granting the bearer special powers, a not so savory character wants her piece of relic to claim its power for himself.
With a prank-playing family (Alexander’s) a determined and headstrong heroine (Kenna) and some incredibly daring moves (from both) the story hops from one moment to the next, only taking time to develop the sexual tension and connection between Kenna and Alexander that slowly can show them the path to happy ever after….

In the heart of Scotland, this Highlander is about to meet his match in a brand new romance from bestseller May McGoldrick.
Highland warrior Alexander Macpherson has lost his wife. When he agreed to take Kenna Mackay as his bride to advance his clan’s power in the north, he expected a bit of an adjustment. He didn't expect the sharp-tongued beauty to run away on their wedding night. Still, Alexander wants his runaway bride…and he has the sneaking suspicion that she wants him, too.
Kenna Mackay thought she was safe in a priory full of nuns learning the craft of healing, but when she is kidnapped by her own husband, the battle of wits begins anew. But even as passions ignite, a deadly secret from Kenna's past rises to the surface and put their new love in jeopardy. As a heartless villain closes in, two headstrong lovers find themselves locked in a struggle between evil and the power of undying love. And this time, Alexander is determined he will not lose his wife again.
