I received an ARC from G.R. George, the eighth in her Dirty Martini series, and I devoured it in one sitting! If you like M/M romance this is the title for you ! Please read on for a Review from K’s Reading corner!
I am a total sucker for MM books! Especially written by G.R. George.
This time we revisit Chris and Marty. We first saw them at The Dirty Martini, book four of The Other Team series. Bartender Chris and the boss’ younger Army Ranger brother on leave, Marty, woke up to an undeniable connection with several questions.
This time, they are forced to be apart and that is taking a toll in their relationship. Yet, they are willing to try to overcome the distance, and we go along for the ride!
We fall in love, as they rediscover each other. We get heartbroken, when doubts start arising. But we find acceptance, because we are all perfect.
They both have their own issues to face, thought they sometimes refuse to actually address the problem.
I liked the story, because the writing made me feel all the emotions described. But, the most important part of the story which made me love it, was that it shows the struggle of keeping a relationship alive. That you get to be passionate about your partner, you get to make mistakes and often add your own issues to your relationship. Yet, you do not give up, and neither did Chris or Marty. They struggled to find and keep their happiness, all the time. It was interesting to watch these two grow and discover how to work to make the relationship better, because they wanted it, and they deserved it.
It is a short story and I strongly recommend it, if you like MM!
