Now with new editing and covers, the Noble Passions historical romance series from Sabrina York is a wonderful steamy read.
Please read on for my review of
If you haven’t dipped your toes into the joy of Sabrina York’s regency-era erotic romances, and you want a little more than just a blushing virginal bride, this is the series that you will need to dive into. And, BONUS points, while there are some characters that appear and are mentioned in each of the three books, you do not have to read them in any particular order. You just will want to read them.
Edward is the Dark Duke, a bored lord with a penchant for BDSM and a side-hobby of penning his fancies under the pseudonym Lord Hedon. His life at the moment is anything but boring: he has been asked to provide a season for a cousin, and she has arrived with his aunt, a companion and her brothers in tow.
Kaitlin has run from Scotland with her best friend Violet, and is posing as her companion as she seeks opportunities to earn money and pay off her brother’s debts. What Edward doesn’t realize is that Kaitlin is no innocent, and that passions burn deep inside her heart.
I adored Kaitlin: her mix of brains, courage and a devilish sense of humor combine to make a heroine who is engrossed in facing new experiences head on, and taking responsibility for her choices. Edward, despite his reputation for being a debaucher and rake has a sense of honor and family that even he didn’t realize was there until he was roped into obliging Violet with a season. While we see both characters develop and their attraction grow as their escapades are more frequent, Edward’s growth was a surprise to him but not to the reader. In fact, Edward is often the last to realize many things: believing that he lost the one woman he could love to his friend James, and not realizing why he couldn’t stop thinking about Kaitlin, and even not realizing that a disguise would never fool Kaitlin: introspection is not Edward’s forte.
So many elements are in play for this story: the clever interruptions from family members, Kaitlin’s sacrifice of herself for her friend, and her decision to have some fun with the dreaded chore by making those around her dance to her tune, even the burgeoning relationship between Edward and Kaitlin not to mention Edward’s own realizations about the emptiness of his life all fall into place like pieces of a puzzle, each fitting neatly. The steamy scenes are that and then some, and pack a double whammy – Kaitlin’s awakening to the pleasures to be found with a man, and with her own self are erotic and detailed with squirm inducing moments for even the more jaded reader.
So what are you waiting for? Go grab this book and start your new addiction.

Dark Duke, by Sabrina York Book 2 in the Noble Passions Steamy Regency Series
Edward Wyeth, the Dark Duke of Moncrieff’s life has been turned on its end. His well-ordered home has been invaded. By destitute relatives. From Scotland. How on earth can he write Lord Hedon's salacious novels with hellions battling in the garden and starting fires in the library? But with the onslaught has come a delicious diversion. His cousin's companion, the surprisingly intriguing Kaitlin MacAllister. He is determined to seduce her. Using her desperate need for funds and her talents as an artist, he convinces her to draw naughty pictures for his naughtier books...and he draws her into his decadent web.
But Kaitlin has a secret. She's fled Scotland--and a very determined betrothed. When Edward's cousin is kidnapped and held in her stead, Kaitlin is honor-bound to return to her homeland and rescue her--much to Edward's chagrin.
Because suddenly he can't bear the thought of Kaitlin marrying another man. He can't bear the thought of losing her at all.
