Captain by Lauren Rowe

I’d curse out loud to express my experience with Captain, but I don’t think my hostess would agree.

See, Captain is one of the best books I’ve read so far and has left me in a reading limbo.

It’s more than a week since I finished this book and I can’t for the life of me truly realize the amazing story that I have read.
That book was amazing. It was exceptional.

Tessa finally decides to give a chance to flirting, only to fall on Ryan, who is going through with several back-to-back moments of bad luck.

And then she realises that Ryan’s sister is marrying her boss.

Because yep! Tessa is T-Rod and Ryan is Captain!

And that wedding organisation? It’s going to be explosive!
Ryan is part of the Morgan family. A family that  never seizes to amaze me. And the way that all of our old loved characters came into play? It was perfect. Just perfect.

That’s not to say we don’t see Tessa’s family. Personally, I think that even when they are not in the limelight, their love and experiences make a strong impact in the story.

Captain takes us back to the characters from The Club series and Ball Peen Hammer and makes us nostalgic and wishing that a day had more hours, so that we could read them all, all over again!

Though I have read all the other books from Lauren, I guarantee you, that’s not necessary to follow the story.

The way she brings the story forth, on its own but also in agreement with the rest of the stories? It’s truly mind blowing!

Just when you think you know something, she surprises you and leaves you breathless. And with a huge smile.

I love how the characters developed and how everything fell into place in the end.

This books is safe, from all aspects, has no cliffhanger and ends with a HEA (which makes me want to read about the rest of the Morgans! Hurry up, Lauren!!!!!).

From, Lauren Rowe, the USA Today and International bestselling author of The Club Series and Ball Peen Hammer comes a sexy standalone romance: Captain.

It wasn’t the way this kind of story was supposed to go . . .Insta-love isn’t supposed to turn into insta-hate.

But that’s exactly what happened when the hot-as-hell dreamboat I met in a bar turned out to be a lying, cheating scumbag-player-douche looking for nothing but a little side action. Jerk.

And he has the nerve to call me a liar and a “sociopath”? Assh*le.

And now, three months later, through a mind-blowing series of events I couldn’t have predicted in a million years, it turns out my boss is marrying his sister in Hawaii and I’ve got to play nice with him for an entire freaking week.

Okay, sure, I’ll put on a happy face this week and act like I’ve never even met the jerk before--did I mention his sister is marrying my boss?--but that doesn’t mean I’ll like it. And it certainly doesn’t mean I’ll stop secretly hating the cocky bastard’s guts.

Because I do.I hate him. I really do.

I just wish my brain would explain the situation to my body . . . because every time he flashes that panty-melting smile at me, it takes all my self-restraint not to jump the bastard’s hot-as-f*ck bones.
