Erotica isn’t usually my thing. But I found myself needing something small and steamy ASAP. So my friends CJ and Lynne recommended Alexa’s books, but of course I was warned about the breeding content.
The Breeding Series
What exactly does the term Breeding refer to?
Well, it’s when the purpose of the intercourse is mostly to get the heroine pregnant.
So, I started reading the Breeding series, Coach and Mechanic by Alexa Riley and got more than I probably asked for….
In these particular books, we are talking about men that take possessiveness to a whole different level, sometimes annoying, if I can say so (e.g. one of them installed covert security in the heroine’s house to “make sure she is safe”).
All in all, they were not bad books. Simply weird for someone that isn’t used to the whole breeding thing.
There was storyline involved, hot sex and Happily Ever Afters.
Coach is the story of an older man falling for his friend’s daughter. I only found one small plot hole and I also think it is the most invested in the breeding subject.
I liked Mechanic better than Coach. I can’t really put my finger on the why, but it will be a story I will choose to reread again. Partially, because it also has a small plot in the story, besides the erotic nature of it.
Also, the small story at the end of Mechanic was a very pleasant surprise.
Do not expect any major character building. You will be dissapointed!
It is nothing but a good erotica….
Again, it’s not those that read solely romance as it has lots of sex in it and all the reproduction talk.
Oh! I forgot to mention! All the heroines still hold to their V cards… That’s until the heroes take them away, that is……

Retiring from the NFL was the right decision, and at thirty years old, I've done things most people could only dream of. After all I've accomplished, coaching high school football should be easy...but when you've got a distraction in the form of a nerdy girl with curves, things can get complicated.
She's a student, she's barely legal, and she's my best friend’s daughter.
I didn't know what desire was until Megan. I had no idea obsession could drive someone insane, until I saw her. I wasn't prepared for the fact that once I laid eyes on Megan my life would really begin.I have to have her, no matter what the cost. I have to breed her and bind her to me so tightly she can't ever get away. She'll be mine, even if I have to take her.
Warning: this book is ridiculous, over the top, completely unbelievable, and pretty much just about breeding the heroine. If you're okay with that, welcome to my dirty, dirty book! Just remember, I warned you.

Cute! This “breeding” thing is a hoot. Totally over the top and okay for fast and “dirty” reads. I will need to check these out next time I am in the mood for down and dirty. Thank you.
you are braver than I — I’m good with quick and dirty – I just like a bit more usually!

I enjoy challenging my reading habits. At that point, reading about breeding sounded like a good idea. I didn’t love it, but it was what I needed then!
