Her Bodyguard: Raunchy Royals #2 by Sabrina Paige

Sabrina Paige on the blog today with her Raunchy Royals series, the first I’ve read – but was intrigued enough to purchase. Please read on for my review of

Her Bodyguard

Set in the fictional country of Protrovia, this royal family actually rather put me in mind of Grace Kelly’s children, the royals of Monaco. Media stars in their own right, these royals are wild and free, and able to do everything they want. Younger (just 21) than her brother the Prince, Alexandra takes pride in her ability to party all night and evade her security detail, repeatedly. Because she is such a problem, a new, no-nonsense bodyguard has been hired specifically to rein her in.

Max, an ex-Marine with a never give up attitude and ties to the Prince from their days in Afghanistan, he’s been brought in to wrangle the princess and perhaps help keep her out of the headlines. From the start, these two butt heads repeatedly: and he is just the perfect foil for her sharp wit and even sharper approach to escaping his protection. He’s not cowed by her imperious attitude, he sticks to her like a burr, and he actually finds her outbursts amusing.

What redeems Alex in all of this is her heart: she’s not spoiled and bratty, even if some of her actions come off like that. She’s tired of being constrained and told what not to do: she knows, and she even has some really good ideas for thing she could do, if only someone would listen. And, in many ways, Max is the one treated to her ideas and wrath, which eventually turns to laughter peppered with that attraction. An attraction that is OFF THE CHARTS hot for the both of them… but there is one little problem.

She’s the Princess, he’s her bodyguard, and her brother is a good friend. This could be a recipe for disaster, sure to outshine ALL of the headline stories previously written. But, from a simple statement and attraction to eventual trust and the uber alpha moments where all of the ‘you shouldn’ts’ become lost in the moment….
And those moments are hot, dirty, sexy and steamy and help to reinforce the budding connection between them, as well as offering opportunities for them to share more of their own hopes and dreams.

My first introduction to this author and this family – and it won’t be the last. Be aware that there are pages and pages of hot and steamy scenes, dirty in all the best ways, sure to make you squirm.

I purchased a copy of the title for my own library. I was not obligated nor compelled to provide a review. All conclusions are my own responsibility.

About the Book:

He'll bring this princess to her knees.

Max
I protect royals – I don't screw them.
I definitely don't screw spoiled, rich, out-of-control brats like Princess Alexandra. She's a walking disaster, a whirlwind of public scandal and bad behavior.

She's smart-mouthed, argumentative, and doesn't do a damned thing I say.

And the idea of throwing her over my shoulder like a caveman makes my blood run hot.

She's the ultimate in forbidden – bodyguards don't touch princesses. I could lose everything.

But this is one princess I'll bring to her knees.

Alexandra

My bodyguard is a royal a**.

He's ridiculously arrogant, completely insufferable, and always plays by the rules.

B-o-r-i-n-g. I definitely don't do boring.

If there's one thing I can't stand, it's someone telling me what to do.

Yet the idea of him turning me over his knee makes me wet.

Princesses don't hook up with their bodyguards – it's the ultimate transgression.

And they definitely don't fall in love.
