Anywhere You Are

A life spent in front of cameras is hard at the best of times, but when you have no interest in anything that is important to your rock star father or model mother, nothing is better than getting away to manage your own life. Or so Grace believes when she sets out away from media’s harsh lights to pursue her twin passions, conservation and art.

A misstep on a hiking trail leaves her in need of assistance and in Marc’s path. He’s a real estate developer, buttoned up, tightly wound and completely uninterested in Grace’s special brand of media notoriety.  His aunt’s recent passing and the inheritance of a giant Great Dane, Mr. Pipplepots, mean that his life is a bit topsy turvy from the careful constructed vision he has.  But, Grace may just be able to help watch the dog, and she’s not too difficult to talk to.

Slowly but surely, Marc comes to see just how wonderful Grace is: he enjoys her free spirit and self-confidence, far different from the reality show bimbo he thought her to be. Grace enjoys poking at Marc’s shell, and enjoys him until a particular resort project falls into her eyeline.

Plenty of push and pull with these two, as the resort becomes a huge stumbling block in their budding relationship. Marcus had just started to unwind a bit, and he’s not a man who deals well with contradictory opinions that he can’t sway.  With family pressures and obligations, a business deal and the two finding themselves on opposite sides of nearly every situation, it takes some real desire a dash of chemistry and plenty of conversation to bring these two around to the path for a happy ending.  With Mr. Pipplepots providing comic and annoyance relief for them both, their connection that is palpable from the start does have a chance.

Easy to read as a stand-alone, this brings the series to a close with an epilogue that wraps everything up nicely. A fun book and series full of light moments, heart and heat.

As the daughter of a music legend, Grace Davingham knows all too well what it’s like to be burned by the media’s glare. Now all she wants is to be left to do her painting and conservation work in peace, with no intention of returning to the spotlight. But after she sprains her ankle hiking and a handsome real-estate mogul comes to her rescue, Grace once again finds herself in the public eye.

Sexy, successful, and averse to any attachments, Marcus Colby thrives on rigid discipline in order to manage both his real-estate investment company and his personal life. Marc has no time for fun, and no patience for crazy. Which is why meeting Grace—and inheriting an enormous Great Dane who won’t listen to a word he says—has turned Marc’s carefully constructed world upside down.

Only when Grace and Marc square off over a local controversy do they realize how different they really are. But if opposites attract, their love is destined to bind them together—forever.
