Welcome to my review of the AudioBook version of book 6 in the Inside Out series from Lisa Renee Jones with narration from Grace Grant. You should be aware that I have read the print versions of all the books in this series, and am now working my way through the audio, a wonderful way to get a new feel for a solid favorite.

All of me is the ending with an open question that wraps up the Inside Out Series. Lisa Renee Jones had pulled, pushed and chased behind readers who have followed Sarah’s journey from tentative and shy woman through multiple trials, emerging as a stronger woman and half of a couple, in her relationship with Chris.
Each book is loaded with crisis points: some internal, some external, all presented in first person point of view. Now, with the end of the mystery surrounding Rebecca in sight, Chris and Sarah are able to move toward their own partnership, as the countdown is on to their wedding. As if the stress of a wedding isn’t enough, the press is busily scavenging lurid details about Rebecca’s disappearance and Chris and Sarah’s involvement, the police investigations and even the remaining threats to Sarah’s safety help to keep readers on a knife’s edge.
The story comes full circle with a giant sigh of relief from readers who were, more than once, wondering if there could ever be a happy ending for these two: so broken yet so solidly complete as a couple. As the series is now in production for a television series, this brought my journey with this series full circle: ready and waiting to see just how the writers and producers see the story.
Narration for this story is provided by Grace Grant, and her narration is perfectly suited to this book and series. She captures Sarah’s more cerebral approach to the whys of people’s actions while not losing the emotional impact of the moments when her fears take over and just moving forward is the only option. Never overreaching for emotion, reaction or delivery for Sarah or any of the other characters she presents, the distinctions are subtle but consistent, and have been so through all of the books in this series. Grant has become Sarah: her voice, her hesitations, the touch of a natural submissive is never wholly lost in Sarah, and Grant balances the inner core of strength and surety with the many insecurities and worries with style, and the performance carries all of those nuances.
As the final book in the series, All of Me is a wonderful wrap up for the series, providing readers with plenty of answers, happy moments and resolutions. Well, most of the resolutions I was hoping for. I’ll miss having another book in this series to look forward to, but the open end and a proposed story about an earlier character that disappeared early in If I Were You have me happy.
