I’m Gaele – and I live just north of Atlanta with a spectacular and wonderful man (most days) and more importantly, I love to read. I’m a multi-genre reader who will read most anything, although I am a bit more selective in my review reads.
I’ve been reading since I started with a cookbook on my grandmother’s kitchen floor – getting the ingredients together for my favorite cookies. From that point forward, no book was safe from my investigations; from classics to pop fiction, erotica through poetry and non-fiction: I read it all.
When I started this venture I decided that I wanted to provide a forum for indie authors, so a large number of my reviews are from indie authors. I am not a fan of horror or dark titles, and I also am not comfortable reviewing high fantasy or overly technical science fiction.
A big believer in reading for everyone, my goal is to introduce you to titles that you may not have contemplated for your own shelves, and get you excited about the books I have read, while providing a positive and informative review so you are aware of what is hidden within the pages.
I also review audio books: perfect accompaniments to commutes, quiet relaxing times at home or for something to amuse on long car rides.
Many people have asked about the blog’s title.
I am, Indeed comes from a mélange of two quotes
Descartes ~ Cogito ergo sum: I think therefore I am and
Pietro Aretino ~ I am, indeed, a king, because I know how to rule myself.
While the two seem to have little in common, I found the combination worked to present me with the I am Indeed as a title, to combine both thoughts.
