This challenge is sponsored by That Artsy Reader Girl – but I’ve ‘modified’ the challenge here. While the original challenge is focused on YA , NA and middle grade titles, I’m not a huge reader of any of those genres, so I went with a “debut” offering, big house or self-published (as there is a mix of people who try one before the other) and first time published in a country (ie- first US release for a UK Author) will count.
I set a goal of 12 titles: debuts released in 2018 – and here’s how I did!

So – as you can see I manged to read 49 debut offerings: from first books, first release in the US, as well as just first offerings in translation – all from a variety of genres. Some hits, some misses and some real surprises – adding to my determination to pick up debut titles that intrigue me and give a new author a chance!
